This week's Tuesdays with Dorie recipe was chosen by Beryl of
Cinemon Girl. She chose the Toasted Coconut Custard Tart. This is a pretty simple recipe, and doesn't take too long (in comparison to other tarts - obviously a quick batch of brownies is quicker). It starts off with Dorie's basic tart crust, which on its own is delicious. Then comes a rum-flavored pastry cream with lots of toasted coconut stirred in. Finally comes a rum-flavored whipped cream and some more toasted coconut (which by the way is absolutely delicious on its own). All put together it is very pretty.
